    Sign Up to Play Ball in the Fall

    The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department invites children to sign up for fall baseball, softball and basketball.  

    Baseball and Softball
    Fall registration for baseball and softball will be held July 26-August 13 (Monday through Friday only) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Park office and the Sharon Springs Park office. Registration will also be held Saturday, July 31, and Saturday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Central Park office.  

    Children ages 4 to 17 may register to play baseball or softball. Each child must turn 4 years old before September 1, 2010, to play. The registration fee is $65 for county residents and $78 for non-county residents.

    Basketball
    Fall registration for middle and high school basketball will be held August 2-13 (Monday through Friday only) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Park office.  

    The registration fee is $425 per team. Individual registration is not available. Teams may compete in one of the following divisions: varsity boys, varsity girls, junior varsity boys, junior varsity girls, eighth grade boys, eighth grade girls, seventh grade boys and seventh grade girls.  

    A mandatory coaches meeting will be held Sunday, August 15, at 6 p.m. at the Central Park Recreation Center. Practices start Monday, August 16, and games start Monday, August 30. Most games will be played on Saturdays, but some games will be scheduled during the week. The season will conclude with a tournament, tentatively scheduled to start Thursday, October 7.
